Featuring members of The Locust, All Leather, Rats Eyes, Cattle Decapitation, and Festival of Dead Deer (among others), San Diego punk super group Retox has signed to Ipecac Recordings to release their debut full-length album, Ugly Animals, in August after being on the scene for just months. The LP follows a UK tour and a self-titled EP, which you can stream here.
"The Ipecac team is over the moon about working with Retox," said label co-owner Greg Werckman in a press release. "We think they are a perfect fit with our eclectic roster, fitting comfortably with other original artists like the Melvins and ISIS."
Having released material on Ipecac with the The Locust in the past, Retox now shares the roster with Orthrealm, Mouse on Mars, several of Zach Hill’s (Hella) projects, and most of Ipecac co-owner Mike Patton’s (Faith No More, Mr. Bungle, Fantomas) incarnations.
Retox's next show is June 25 at the Boulevard Cafe in Los Angeles.
