Dayglo Abortions Deported - Battalion of Saints Shakedown

Canadian punks Dayglo Abortions have been deported and their slot at the Shakedown Bar this Friday, June 24, will be filled by infamous old school San Diego hardcore punks Battalion of Saints.

Verbal Abuse (with the original lineup from the "Just An American Band" LP) and Death Crisis will also be playing the show, which has been lowered to $8 entry.

Buy tickets online or at the door. If you have already purchased tickets, the bar is offering one free domestic draft or well drink.

According to Battalion of Saints’ MySpace page, "The Batts were one of the most furious and nihilistic bands in all of Southern California in the early to mid '80s, leading to the deaths of many of the original members."

Since their 1980 inception, the band’s rotating cast has included members of Heroin, Clikitat Ikatowi, Total Chaos, Hot Snakes, Rocket from the Crypt, OFF!, Crucified Youth, and TOF.

“I’m still too pissed off, too pissed on,” singer George Anthony once told me when asked why he’s the only original member of the group still rocking. “I mean, I’m not dead, yet.”

The current Battalion of Saints line-up includes members of the Spooky, ADHD, Total Chaos, and Broken Needles

Tall cans of Steel Reserve and Olde English - $3.50 all night.
