On May 31, local psych-folk-rockers The Donkeys will make their way back to San Diego. The band has been living on the road, promoting their newest full-length, Born With Stripes.
Their return to San Diego will be short lived. After playing a show at the Casbah on June 17, the band will once again hit the road, heading up to Canada for the Sled Island music fest in Calgary.
Once in Calgary, the band will see some familiar faces from San Diego's music scene. Also playing the four-day music fest, are former San Diego groups Crocodiles, The Soft Pack, and the Dum Dum Girls.
After the Sled Island gig, The Donkeys will once again head for home, stopping in Vancouver, Seattle, Portland, and Los Angeles along the way.
Once home, the band will spend the next month-and-a-half prepping for a five-show tour opening up for The Hold Steady.
