Weird Geometry on Third Thursdays

It’s that time of the month again!

Third Thursdays hail two of San Diego’s freshest, most progressive, and downright awesome monthlies.

Makeout Weird at the Whistle Stop showcases San Diego’s unique subculture of experimental, punk, and dance music with visuals by curator Monsterpussy.

“THErapist, an electronic-dance-punk band, have come out of the desert's sweltering heat to bring San Diego their hot beats,” Monsterpussy writes. “These out-of-towners have got something to say and they've come all the way from Phoenix, AZ / Calexico, CA - so you better listen up! A fresh video is planned for their performance which is expected to be the portal out of pop-culture!

“Makeout Weird is a home for counter-culture culprits! Dj Wicked Styles (from the collective SUBversive) will be slamming down the glitch-hop alongside Monsterpussy, who keeps the gems and jams rolling out.”

Featured artists this month are photographer Eileen Rubio and Chris Coroner.

Hosted by local music collective Kill Quanti, the night features psychedelic instrumental hip hop from Yuk. and Dublab co-founder MatthewDavid of the prominent L.A. beat label Brainfeeder.

Celebrate the release of Sleeve’s EP Sin and trip on liquid geometry projected by visual artist Wind Spirit.
