The Che Café has a long tradition of hosting some of the most outlandish acts in San Diego, and tomorrow’s show is no exception.
Author & Punisher – Local Tristan Shone (left) performs industrial doom metal on a custom fabricated Gigerpunk apparatus of knobs, pedals, sliders, and pounders. Apocalyptic droning like you’ve never seen or heard before.
Extreme Animals – New York booty bass electro-thrash baroque mash up shredsters bring their own visuals to enhance your reality.
According to their Facebook bio: “[Extreme Animals’] videos (directed by Jacob Ciocci, Paper Rad founding member) have been imitated the world over, combining hyper remixes of popular culture with original animation into a bewildering maelstrom of contemporary American pathos.”
A Magic Whistle – Andy Puls (formerly of Milwaukee hubby/wife duo Neon Hunk) plays whimsical psychedelic minstrel soundtracks for the narcotic video game of life.
Bruisecaster – “Bruisecaster is [CityBeat music editor] Peter Holslin's dance till you puke music-machine,” writes Sam Lopez (Zsa Zsa Gabor) in the Facebook event page.
“Trip the light orgasmic via Bruisecaster's sexy mutant-beats. You'll need to take a hot shower afterward to get that No Wave funk off your body!”
QQ - Eric Derr and UCSD Visual Arts MFA student Frankie Martin dazzle your sockets with visuals described as “staring at the sun on crack while your eyeballs try to turn themselves inside out.”
Wednesday, July 6 Che Cafe 8:00pm - $6.00
