On their website, 1920's cabaret-inspired music troupe The Silent Comedy announced that they will be playing the Dave Matthews Band Caravan festival on September 2 at the Gorge in George, Washington -- yes that is correct.
At the fest, the Silent Comedy will play the same stage as revered hip-hop and indie rock acts De La Soul, The Roots, Fruit Bats, The Low Anthem, oh, and that band that the Dave Matthews guy plays with.
And although the caravan is still two months away, The Silent Comedy will not be so silent. On July 5, the five-piece plays a sold-out show at the Casbah, their first gig on what will be a month long cross-country trek with LA indie prog-pop band, Saint Motel.
During the month long tour, the band will make appearances at radio stations in Los Angeles, San Luis Obispo, and Sacramento.
