U.K. Nu Skool Breaks and Electro Legend Krafty Kuts at Spin

“This is Wobble Events' seventh installment and the most anticipated so far,” says promoter Bryen Beglinger.

Krafty Kuts, aka Martin Reeves, has been a legend in the EDM [electronic dance music] scenes and more specifically the Nu Skool Breaks and Electro scenes for well over a decade. I'm thrilled to have an artist of this magnitude headlining at Wobble.”

Beglinger curated his first Wobble Events’ night at Spin Nightclub in March with Kraddy (Glitch Mob), Treavor Moontribe, and local staple Bassmechanic.

He has since booked several notable out-of-town acts, many for their first time in San Diego, including Tipper, David Starfire, Eskmo, Bird of Prey, Mimosa, Elite Force, and Pumpkin.

"Wobble Events was born out of a mission to widen the view of club dance music in San Diego,” Beglinger told the Reader in June.

“It's a little depressing to have to go up to LA or San Francisco whenever you want to hear something new or even just something good. The downtown music scene has been stagnant for so long that it's not easy to break out anything new here. Wobble is our attempt to bring a little spark of beauty from some of the underground scenes to the more mainstream club scene. We are the alternative to the alternative here in SD."

Filling out the mainstage with U.K. legend Krafty Kuts this Saturday will be DJ Wolfie (LA), DivaDanielle (LA), Bassmechanic (SD), and Michael Mannino (SD).

On the second level of the three-story venue will be Los Angeles DJs Shadow Council (Darkmatter and Mark Zabala), Lea Luna, Miss Genesis, and Sendai.

“Unlike many other EDM shows, local and elsewhere, there are no ‘fillers’ in our lineups,” says Beglinger.

“This is not some monthly, cookie-cutter event. Every DJ or producer in our lineups is specifically handpicked for what they will be bringing to the event. Wobble will keep putting together great lineups as long as there are people out there who appreciate taste and style in the music they listen to. The vibe is always tremendous because every party is special in itself and our patrons understand that. We love our fans and we do it for them.”

As such, expect original visuals, aerial performances, pole acrobatics, hooping, massages, circus arts, live painting, belly dancers, live hair sculpture, altars, body painting, and surprises.

Presale tickets are $25.

This event is expected to sell out.

Saturday, December 17 – 10 p.m. to 4 a.m.
