I was driving along the 5 north today coming out of Downtown.
The sun was shining, it was warm, I had the windows down and I found the appropriate music.
I cranked up Schubert's Mass No. 2 in G.
As I glanced over at the harbor, it occurred to me that the opening Kyrie is music that makes sense for a day like this in San Diego.
The Kyrie isn't monumental or complex or inspiring. It's just pretty and nice and charming, like today.
