3 a.m. driveby leaves one dead, one injured.
Seifert Street & 55th Street, Chollas Creek
February 16, 3:30 a.m.

Sal Hernandez, 27, and his female friend, 19, were sitting in a parked car when a dark, older model truck pulled up and fired a gun. The truck then drove away, westbound on Seifert.
The 19-year-old woman called 911 and reported both she and Hernandez had been shot. Hernandez died of his injuries. The woman's injuries were critical but she is expected to live. Her identity has not been released.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the police department's homicide unit at (619) 531-2293 or Crime Stoppers at (888) 580-TIPS.
