Patrol Officers responded to a call regarding a possible stabbing. They discovered that a single victim, a white female approximately 45 years old, had been stabbed.
Paramedics arrived to the scene. The victim died of her injuries.
It was determined that the suspect fled the scene in a vehicle prior to police arriving.
The suspect vehicle was spotted and stopped by SDPD officers in the Mission valley area of San Diego. The suspect was arrested with out incident.
The suspect is identified as a Russell Farber, 52 yrs, from El Cajon. He was booked into county jail for one count of murder.
Police have not yet disclosed the relationship between Farber and the woman; nor have they released the woman’s name yet. This investigation is on-going.
