November 14, 6:13 p.m. 1000 West Washington Avenue, Escondido Escondido PD 33.122625, -117.097816
Escondido Police Department responded to a report of a possible body part found at the Escondido Disposal Incorporated (EDI) site.
Officers arrived on the scene and quickly notified the Crimes of Violence unit that they had been led to a dead body that appeared to be a newborn infant boy. The little body was discovered on a conveyor belt in the trash processing facility.
According to the EDI supervisor on the scene, the trash at the facility came from numerous locations around the southland.
