The Eastern League is top to bottom the best league in the section this year. This league features Cathedral Catholic at the top, the second best team in the section this year behind only Oceanside. This unique collection of teams features top teams from Division I (Mira Mesa), Division II (Scripps Ranch, Lincoln, Patrick Henry), and Division III (Cathedral Catholic, St. Augustine). In addition, the Eastern League finished the preseason a combined 25-5, the best such record in the section. The bottom line: there are no weak teams in the Eastern League.
