With only four teams left in each division, the semifinals are when speculation for CIF finals matchups begins. And of the 20 potential finals, the one with the most intrigue comes from Division III. If higher seeds Cathedral Catholic and Valhalla win, a game between the Dons and Norsemen in Qualcomm Stadium would be one of the best of the season. Both teams’ offenses are averaging more than 30 points a game and a Dons-Norsemen clash would feature two of the best offensive talents in the section – Cathedral running back Tyler Gaffney and Valhalla quarterback Pete Thomas.
