Farmhouse Restaurant is spearheading an entire camping weekend September 11 & 12 at Susie's Farm in IB (BYO tent) with a variety of educational programs (composting, sure, but also a demonstration of pest control by a hawk and a dawg) and even an evening campfire with amateur talent show! (Who's bringing the marshmallows?) Price is $225, attendance is limited. Price includes a dinner of barbecued local goat, line-caught local fish, and of course, goodies from the farm. Proceeds go to Slow Food Alliance, the secret cabal behind the great switch of American chefs to local farm products and "green" meats. .(They're why food here is so much better than it used to be.)
