Elizabeth Ramos and her husband Louis Williams of Chula Vista today (Aug. 19) pleaded guilty in federal court to paying between $200,000 and $400,000 in cash to an official of the San Diego-based Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR) so their company, Technical Logistics Corp., could get government contracts. They paid the money between 1999 and 2008 to Gary and Kelly Alexander so that Gary Alexander could use his influence to get them $4.8 million of contracts. Their company was hired as a subcontractor by Computer Sciences Corp. and Kratos Defense and Security Solutions, a San Diego publicly-held company. The Alexanders, along with others, have been charged with wire fraud, bribery, and related offenses. Their case is slated to go to trial in January of next year. Ramos and Williams will be sentenced Feb. 8 of next year at 9:30 a.m. before U.S. District Court Judge Larry Burns.
