"Eat at Recess" Food Truck: Grilled Cheese Heaven

Today is Monday and when it came time to think about lunch my mind wandered to thoughts of the yummy grilled cheese sandwich I have had several times at the "Eat at Recess" Food Truck. So off I went to find the truck. This time, I thought, I'll be adventuresome and order something new. I know there are burgers (Hot Sandies), salads (Fantastic Salads), and other sandwiches (Cold Sandies) and I keep hearing about their tots (Super Duper Sides). They even have tots with truffle oil topped with feta cheese.

But the longer I stood in line the more I realized I wasn't going to try anything new because I like the grilled cheese so much. This is no ordinary sandwich. In fact, it is called the Gold Star Grilled Cheese ($4.50). The "Eat at Recess" crew melts thick slices of aged sharp cheddar, havarti, and Monterey jack cheeses between fresh sourdough bread. This isn't rocket science but it sure is comforting. And if you want strips of bacon added to the cheese, add $1.50 to your total. I have tried both and can recommend both. And if you want their crispy seasoned tots with BBQ Recess Sauce added for a spicy kick, they can do that too ($5.50).
