Vegan Evolution Fast Food

After eating a pescetarian diet for a year, the pro-wrestlers of my mind have settled on a few key ideas. 1. In accordance with the laws of physics I have no problem with the transfer of energy. After all, that's what calories are (energy). 2. Since I don't like the idea of killing, it would be great to only eat creatures if they die of natural causes - but surely that's not how the fish I eat die. 3. Of all the creatures on this planet, we are uniquely suited to assume a caretaker role. 4. There is an awful lot of meat-energy that gets buried in wooden caskets every day.

As this internal dialog continues, I decided to check in on the vegan restaurant known as Evolution Fast Food, which provides necessary alternatives to my inevitable cannibalistic hypothesis.

Located where Nature's Express and Kung Food used to be, Evolution Fast Food continues the location's tradition of offering a fast-food style vegetarian/vegan drive-thru, although many patrons tend to order inside.

Of all the burgers and sandwiches to choose from I went with the Mushroom Swiss Burger this time.

Although there are cheaper options available, the $6.75 was well worth it. They certainly didn't skimp on the mushrooms, and the vegenaise plus daiya cheese complemented the meal splendidly. The patty itself is made of wheat, soy, quinoa, as well as kamut, and is quite filling due to the fact that it's thick as hell.

There are all kinds of gluten-free desserts, fresh organic juices, smoothies and shakes available – all of which contain no refined sweeteners, hydrogenated oils, or hi-fructose corn syrup.

Although there are not many indoor spots to eat, there is plenty of covered patio space to enjoy vegan delights.
