My love may be like a red, red rose, but my appetite runs in more carnivorous directions. To that end, The Linkery and El Take It Easy in North Park are celebrating the 253rd birthday of Robert Burns with a Burns Supper all day today. They will serving haggis, the oft maligned Scottish pudding made from sheep offal, spices, oatmeal, and suet, stuffed into the sheep's stomach to simmer.

If you've ever read what really goes into a hot dog, you won't turn up your nose at eating a bit of sheep's heart. Or stomach. And Max at The Linkery does know what he's doing. He says that this is his "best haggis yet".
On tap will be Alesmith Wee Heavy and Moylan’s Kiltlifter. El Take It Easy will also serve a flight of three single malt Scotches: Benromach 10 year (Speyside); Laphroaig 10-year original cask strength (Islay); and Dalmore 15-year (Highland).
