SOL Markets Bistro Open for Business

Back in January, I put local edible foragers on notice that SOL Markets was opening their first grocery store in Liberty Station. That happened back in February. Since then, they’ve seen a steady trickle of customers, but really had the chance to shine to their core clientele demographic at a recent Slow Food mixer.

That night, roughly 200 people got a good look, not only at the shelves stocked with food and beverages sourced from regional producers, but the market’s bistro component. It was a tease for the venue, literally, as the bistro had yet to open. Folks who gained a taste for SOL executive chef Brandon Brooks' pork belly spring rolls were without a means for experiencing them again.

Until now.

SOL’s bistro is now fully operational and sporting those crispy wonton-swathed piggies as well as a plethora of dishes made largely from items available in the market. The full menu is included below.

For now, the bistro is open for dinner only, starting at 4:30 p.m. Its craft beer bar opens at 3:30 p.m. and, starting in two weeks or so, lunch will be offered. SOL Markets is located at 2855 Perry Road.
