10 a.m. – 3rd Annual Fling Disc Tourney Make a day of it by heading out to the Frisbee golf course for an annual tournament attend by brewers and drinkers alike. Enjoy breakfast, a day of competition and some great cask beers during this combo sporting event and excuse for an after-party hosted by South Park’s Hamilton Tavern. Details
4 p.m. – Beginner Brewing Class & Growler at the Moon Ever wonder what goes into the process of brewing beer, but were scared to engage your obsessive homebrewer friend on the topic? Get the basics from the pros at Home Brew Mart. Then, stick around to buy a discount growler filled with one of 15 Ballast Point beers. Fill ‘er up! Class Details, Growler Details
5 p.m. – Beechwood Brewing Night Craft beer enthusiasts make northerly pilgrimages to Long Beach to hoist pints at Beachwood Brewing & BBQ. For Beer Week, brewer Julian Shrago will return the favor, heading south to Tiger! Tiger! Tavern with kegs of his creations, including Alpha Supreme Rye APA and Hoppa Smurf Belgian IPA. Details
6 p.m. – The Flavors of Yeast Join Neva Parker from local yeast producter White Labs as she explains the variety of flavors yeast strands impart in beers at Sea Rocket Bistro. A member of the Beer 4 Boobs Susan G. Komen for the Cure team, she’ll be bringing a special cask of a fundraiser brew from Ballast Point. Details
7 p.m. – Women Only: Celebrating Craft Beer It ain’t a man’s world…and Stone Brewing can prove it. Head to Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens for a presentation about the contributions of women to the craft beer industry and tasty brews including Great Divide Oak Aged Yeti and Stone 15th Anniversary Escondidian Imperial Black IPA.
