Stingaree nightclub is still open, but they've closed the attached restaurant. Basically, nobody went there. (The food was good, but the room always felt like a second-thought, the eating-slum offshoot of the club.)
Chef Antonio Friscia will still be cooking (or overseeing) massive amounts of tasty food there, but to eat it from now on, you'll have to pay the steep nightclub cover charge/drinks minimum, listen to loud music and sit next to Paris Hilton or drunken pro football players or other likkered-up famous people (or kids from Santee or Poway) -- hey, what a thrill! I can't quite bring myself to say R.I.P.
