Man attempts suicide with rat poison (Peninsular Digital, 1/25/13)
La Paz, BC Sur - Ingesting rat poison, Pedro Cortés García, allegedly tried to commit suicide, however, a call prevented the attempt after the rapid intervention of police and medical care.
Police Municipal elements were alerted by a phone call and arrived overnight on Wednesday at the bridge over the arroyo located in Forjadores and Colima to a report of a citizen’s body - an almost lifeless male. Near him was a folder with personal documents and a container of rat poison.
The SP 85 uniformed unit gave assistance to Pedro Cortés García and noticed in his mouth was several rat poison capsules which had not been fully swallowed. Machetes used in assault (Peninsular Digital, 1/25/13) La Paz, BC Sur - With two sharp machetes, El Guero (a fair skinned or light haired person) violently ended an argument in an agricultural field in El Carrizal, then fled.
The incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon at Rancho Santa Lidia in delegation el Carrizal, where an unnamed man became involved in an argument with an agricultural worker Rodolfo Villarreal, 50, using a machete against him.
El Guero, whose name is unknown, caused two serious wounds to Don Rodolfo: one in the left hand and another in the head, causing a 7 cm wound.
