11 Captured for Executions in Toluca Valley (El Sol de Toluca, 1/23/13)
Toluca, MEX - The intelligence work of the Secretariat of Citizen Safety (SSC) of the State of Mexico, allowed for the capture of 11 members of organized crime linked to 12 executions in the Toluca Valley, including the remains of six people who were found in several bags on Wednesday morning between Colonias Moderna de la Cruz and El Parque in the Mexican capital.
Salvador Neme Sastre, Secretary of Public Safety of the State Government, said that among those detained in cells, are some with Toluca criminal organization origins in Michoacán, including Víctor Hugo Jaramillo, alias "M2", an escort of "El Tuzo" who is one of the leaders who controls criminal operations in Valle de Bravo and neighboring municipalities and ordered the executions in recent weeks.
In a press conference, the head of the SSC said that the 11 detainees are related to the executions of six people whose remains were found on January 14 in the municipality of Zinacantepec, however he clarified that is where the corpses were found, but they were killed at the Pantheon in San Pedro Tenayac in the municipality of Temascaltepec in the South of the entity.
He said that detainees are Fernando Ruiz, 32; José Manuel Pérez, 26; Axel Colin, 24; Rogelio Estrada, 29; Víctor Jaramillo, 24; Francisco Valtierra, 20; José Juan García, 23; Carlos Gutiérrez, 48; Javier Peñaloza, 23; José Isaac Rodríguez, 19; and Griselda Alondra, who is a minor. http://www.oem.com.mx/elsoldetijuana/notas/n2853899.htm

Tijuana, BC - The Chamber of Commerce of Tijuana demanded relevant authorities put an end to the excessive and illegal sale of cars at various points in the city where they increasingly offer newer model vehicles without any Government control.
Gilberto Leyva Camacho, Vice President of the Camaral Agency, said it is alarming that more than 400,000 cars, i.e. six of every 10, that are circulating are of questionable legality without anyone doing anything.
In various parts of the city there are sales areas, sometimes using abandoned or rented premises and on other occasions at most sidewalks are used. This is a problem that has already been addressed and for political reasons, due to bad decisions of Government, still continues to serve as a theme for ongoing illegal activity. During some trips we have made, said Leyva, we have found recent model vehicles on sale. Currently, any vehicles that are for sale must be 2008 and newer to be imported.
A Canaco representative will again travel to Mexico City in order to demand recognition of these operations and stop the highly illegal and unregulated trade of cars, as well as a reduction of the estimated costs for modifications to NOM-041, along with a reprieve in order to expedite procedures and fairer payments in the purchase of foreign vehicles. http://www.oem.com.mx/elsoldetijuana/notas/n2853106.htm
