San Felipe 250, Baja 500 and Baja 1000 Races Confirmed (Uniradio Informa, 1/18/13)

TIJUANA, BC - SCORE International and the Government of the State of Baja California confirmed the 2013 Edition in Baja California for the San Felipe 250, Baja 500 and Baja 1000 off-road races on Friday.

The above happened at press conference headed by the new President of SCORE International, Roger Norman, and the Secretary of Tourism of the State of Baja California, Juan Tintos Funcke, who announced the coordination that will be implemented with the participation of the authorities of the three orders of Government, tourist promotion agencies and SCORE President.

The well-known employer of tourism, hotels and gastronomy in the State of Nevada as well as Off-Roading, Roger Norman, mentioned Baja California has the best scenery and terrain to carry out these races, so his vision is to consolidate these events as the best of its class in the world. He explained that this year a strong impetus will be made in promotion and dissemination, to further expand the coverage of the races held in Baja California, with participation of international television channels, with the additional purpose of showing the beauty of this entity; "With these actions we will be looking to bring more participants to the events, and also bring more tourists to Baja California", explained Norman.

For its part, the head of SECTURE, on behalf of the State Governor, Jose Guadalupe Osuna Millan, reiterated the support of the State administration, in coordination with the Committee on Tourism and Conventions of Mexicali and Proturismo Ensenada for the races organized by SCORE International. "These races, in addition to the significant revenues generated, before and during the event, televised from our State worldwide for the great coverage reached through international media and the presence of riders and teams from different countries, translates into an indicator of confidence, with respect to the image and the perception of Baja California by foreign tourists especially in United States, " said the State official.

Last December, Roger Norman, became owner and President of SCORE International. The SCORE race dates for 2013 are: San Felipe 250, March 8 to 10 ; Baja 500, May 31 to June 2; and Baja 1000, November 14-17.
