Narcomenudistas Arrested in Jardines del Rubí (Tijuana Press, 1/10/13 by Nora Leticia Garcia)

Tijuana, BC - Three alleged narcomenudistas were arrested in Fracc. Jardines del Ruby, according to authorities, reportedly traveling with "glass" found inside a can of beer in the vehicle.

The official version indicated the accused females were arrested after an operation was deployed by agents of the State Police Preventive PEP in the area. At calle Zárate uniformed officers stopped a gray color 2005 model Nissan Altima automobile with foreign license plates 6TA2394.

During a search of the unit they found a can of beer, which was modified with the lid superimposed and inside had a vessel with seven wrappers of different sizes which contained "Crystal", they informed officials.

Also inside the compartment located between the front seats, they found 12,000 pesos ($948 US) and $300, supposedly proceeds from the sale of drugs, said the report by the Secretariat of Security State SSPE.

Tijuana, BC - Homicide authorities reported a death was recorded in the last hours in Tijuana. The most recent was the murder of a man who came to his house this morning in colonia LeandroValle. Preliminary data indicated it might be an municipal police officer, shot when he came to his domicile. Apparently the official had just finished his shift for the police when he was followed by a few subjects aboard a van that shot him.

Yesterday, on Wednesday morning, the State Attorney General of Justice at a breakfast with media in Tijuana, presented the statistics of their work in 2012, which highlighted a decrease in the number of homicides statewide.
