Pediatric Cancer Center Will Double Capacity (El Mexicano, 1/8/13 by Hilario Ochoa Movis)

TIJUANA, BC - At the end of this year Licenciado Pedro Cruz Camarena, director of the COP of the Limón Foundation, reported they will double the capacity of the Limón Cancer Center to care for children with cancer. He said this enlargement of the Pediatric Cancer Center will cost 25 million pesos ($1.96 million US) including equipment, whose resources come partly from donations and sponsors, either individuals or companies that have been joined efforts this year through the Foundation. He mentioned that the Hospital General of Tijuana, where there is a pediatric Oncology service, has 100% occupancy and a waiting list, while the COP of the Fundación Castro Limón has overpopulation with occupancy 110% since a year ago. http://www.el-mexicano.com.mx/informacion/noticias/1/3/estatal/2013/01/08/641794/duplicara-castro-limon-capacidad-de-atencion-de-ninos-con-cancer.aspx
