TIJUANA, BC - On Friday, September 13, 2012, she landed on a flight that brought her back to Tijuana. Magaly Salazar Bravo is the young woman who was reported missing by her parents since September 1 and finally located at an exclusive Entertainment Night Club in the municipality of Zapopan, Jalisco.
Since Thursday, AFN reveiled Magaly was located. This morning, guarded and cared for by two agents from the Center for Missing Persons, the young woman arrived in Tijuana after presenting her statement in the State of Jalisco, intended to clear any doubts about the commission of an offense by her.
Magaly made two failed attempts this morning to get out of her room, where she was since returning. She was surprised to see the presence of reporters from various media stations that came to ascertain her health and confirm she is the famous young “disappeared one”.
She finally emerged, covering the head and face with a hat, wearing black sports trousers and a pink blouse. Outside more than one dozen video cameras and photographers waited for her. They reacted as soon as she appeared. Reporters tried to address questions to her about her whereabouts and situation, although she did not say a word.
The presence of the woman and journalists in the air terminal, caused curiosity among other passengers and people who awaited their families, since they initially believed that it was a world famous show personality, as the site was full of jostling reporters and others tripping over suitcases.
In bajacaliforniana, Salazar Bravo was driving a white pick-up truck owned by the Attorney General of Justice the State (PGJE). He expected other ministerial servants then she climbed in the rear seat, continued covering her face, as handlers helped with her baggage, driving away with police sirens, leaving behind reporters.
Immediately, Salazar Bravo drove to the Agency of the Public Ministry of the Common Law according to Abel Galvan Gallardo, Assistant Attorney Against Organized Crime of the PGJE, “If she decides to return to Guadalajara or elsewhere, there is no crime against it, so far”. He reiterated that she just disappeared and ensured that she was not forced into anything.
According to the Attorney, she mentioned that she was working in a Night Club in an exclusive area of Zapopan, Jalisco. "She knew that we were looking for her and she was surprised to see us," narrated the State official.
Galván Gallardo called on citizens to stop the hysteria such as was generated by the alleged disappearance of Magaly, since in this case she decided to leave due to family problems. He insisted, that legally, she could not be detained, as is for any person of legal age, in any location, or by any person.
Magaly’s case, said Galván Gallardo, was solved by working with 20 Ministerial officers in Baja California. Within 48-hours, they went to Jalisco to establish her whereabouts. To this he added, equipment helped them find where she was using her cell phone.
The cost of plane tickets, said the information officer, although Magaly had to be brought back on a commercial flight, accompanied by two State officers, were expenses covered by the unit. Therefore, the official insisted the need for awareness of parents on the importance of improving communication with their children, could avoid creating a whole crisis such this, when it could be prevented.
