MEXICALI, BC – The problem of ticks in Los Santorales is not over. Ticks and fleas in the area of Los Santorales are on the rise and the Ministry of Health has not gone to fumigate in a whole year, said residents of that area.
A journey undertaken by a reporter for La Cronica noted that there is an increase in the amount of ticks, but the Ministry of Health says that it is because the houses are very dirty. They claim that they cleaned the houses, placed creolin and chlorine, but the ticks do not die.

MEXICALI, BC - The American pitcher of the Águilas de Mexicali, Sergio Mitre, suffered an injury to his elbow Friday evening, causing him to miss the first game of the series against the Venados de Mazatlán.
The Californian felt discomfort days before the opening on Friday and left the game in the second inning to be replaced by Santiago Gutierrez. The team Manager, David Cardenas, told La Cronica that the former major leaguer will have a review medical to determine the severity of the injury and they will then make the decision to maintain him or not. "Hopefully we reach another game. On Monday we will go to check and see what the doctor decided; to stay with (Sergio Mitre) or not, but hopefully it can be okay", he commented.
At its first opening with the Águilas, Mitre threw five innings for an unstoppable, two bases and four strikeouts, which earned him the victory before Naranjeros de Hermosillo on the opening day of the season.
