Tijuana, BC – Supervised medical care and strict requirements for his food and medicines were made this weekend for Metropolitan Archbishop Rafael Romo Muñoz, who said he approved of this at a Mexican Episcopal Council meeting he attended. The private hospital institution where he was treated confirmed this information Saturday after the religious prelate left the hospital facilities.
However, Romo Muñoz will continue under medical supervision, to ensure progression of his state of health. The Archbishop was admitted last Thursday suffering from problems of dizziness, disorientation and a loss of balance and was evaluated by specialists.
It was explained that he was attended by Otolaryngology and Cardiology specialists who kept him under observation for 48 hours. Young People of Tijuana and San Diego Volunteer (El Sol de Tijuana, 11/12/12)
Tijuana, BC - Young people from San Diego and Tijuana were summoned by the program Jóvenes sin Fronteras, which was developed by the Instituto Juventud BC, Bibliotecas Hermanas, Point Loma Nazarene University and the Preparatoria Federal Lázaro Cárdenas, and joined forces to celebrate the children's houses San José and Eunime por Tijuana.
The young leaders Arantza Fernández, of los jóvenes de Tijuana; Ana Guido and Katy Samarin of Point Loma Nazarene University, participated in a bi-national volunteer day, with the participation of the Instituto Juventud BC. Miguel Angel Torres, director of Juventud BC, headed the work, giving examples of the importance of values particularly in supporting others.
In a spirit of binational collaboration between Mexico and United States the youth showed that sometimes governments know the importance of working together for the most vulnerable to ensure they have a better quality of life. On Saturday, November 10, 2012, young people showed it is possible and by adding their efforts both peoples will have a better future, since they can combat injustice and a lack of attention.
Children's homes San José and Eunime por Tijuana for the day, had faith that their future will be better, but it is important that we all do our part. Jóvenes sin Fronteras is a binational effort to promote volunteerism in young people.
