Playas de Rosarito, BC - A Municipal regulation was announced that will implement a special operation during the celebration of New Year, where the sale of alcohol outside of times established by law should be avoided.
According to information from the department, it aims to prevent the unrestrained sale of liquor outside of hours of the municipal regulation for alcohol. The director, Cristian Medina Pena, noted to be on guard for those who will be responsible for performing visits at different areas of the city where alcohol is sold including bars and liquor stores.
He explained that there will be zero tolerance for business owners who engage in such irregularity and shall implement fines according to established rates, ranging between 5,000 and 30,000 pesos ($385 – 2,310 US) plus weighted fines against minimum wages for this category.
He explained that according to the establishment, sales schedules vary. In case of the grocery stores, they must stop selling liquor after 10 p.m. and at supermarkets at midnight.
"We will be vigilant that they do not exceed this schedule and also make a call to citizens to exercise much restraint as partakers to avoid purchases after these hours or risk these penalties", stressed Medina. http://www.oem.com.mx/elsoldetijuana/notas/n2824525.htm

She mentioned that as part of the plan, there will be a special mass at the Fatima Church, where they will remember agents who died in the line of duty, as well as those who now risk their lives preventing crime in the city. The mass will begin at 6 p.m. at the Fatima Church in the city center area.
Likewise, she explained that a celebration is scheduled for local policemen in a living room lost from this municipality. She noted it is important to celebrate agents since they are the ones who are there first to assist in situations of citizen security. http://www.oem.com.mx/elsoldetijuana/notas/n2824523.htm
