Red Cross Reports 160+ Daily Emergencies (El Sol de Tijuana, 12/27/12 by Rocio Galvan)
Tijuana, BC - La Cruz Roja Tijuana reported 160 to 170 daily emergencies including the fatality of a man, 42, yesterday, who he fell into a ravine and died, said the Commander of Paramedics at the institution, Fernando Esquer Peraza. The accident and emergency expert said that people tend to be more distracted at this time and therefore accidents are more frequent.
He called upon citizens to move calmly and avoid excessive speeds through this season. When it is raining, the pavement is slippery and very dangerous. Esquer Peraza spoke of the incidence of auto planning, motorists traveling at excessive speeds and pedestrians who do not use marked crosswalks or underestimate the speed of cars.
Whenever we treat an injured person, we see how data shows gross negligence and recklessness can cause accidents. I hope people are aware that we must be very cautious when driving through the city and respect speed limits. He also made a call to avoid accidents with fire that cause tragedies proportionally. http://www.oem.com.mx/elsoldetijuana/notas/n2821144.htm
