Woman in Colonia Montecarlo Commits Suicide; Rollover Accident (El Mexicano, 12/24/12)

Playa de Rosarita, BC - Sunday morning a possible case of suicide in the colonia Montecarlo was identified. A woman, 44, was hung from a tree outside her home, since before 9 a.m. It was around that time, Municipal police personnel received a report on the case and the first units arrived to take action. At the moment, Ministerial agents are determining initial information obtained on the investigation.

According to the head of the Municipal Public Security Directorate, Francisco Castro Trenti, the holiday season presents a tendency for increased cases of suicide attempts, mostly in groups of young and middle-aged adults, this being the second case since last previous Friday night.

In another incident on Sunday, shortly after 5 p.m., a rollover occurred at the intersection of Carretera Libre and Escénica with Boulevard Benito Juárez, on the North to South in side of Centro Comercial Rosarito, causing damage to three vehicles.

The accident took place when a Toyota Tundra pickup crossed into traffic from the direction of Rosarito, arriving on the descent of the Pemex bridge, colliding with another vehicle, causing a rollover on the slope, hitting a third car.

This was approximately on the portion of road that connects the three townships at Centro Comercial, within walking distance of the Burger King Restaurant, at the access to the businesses and the incoming tourist corridor towards Rosarito going North. http://www.el-mexicano.com.mx/informacion/noticias/1/3/estatal/2012/12/24/638645/se-suicida-una-mujer-en-la-colonia-montecarlo.aspx
