Public Servants Participate in Disaster Contingency Plan Conference (El Mexicano, 12/24/12)
Tijuana, BC- Around 30 public servants of different State agencies participated in a Conference "Plan for Disaster Contingency ", as part of the official program "Secure Government, Secure Facilities". The Conference was coordinated by the Department of Training of the Mayor’s Office and the main objective was that attendees obtain the necessary knowledge to know what to do before, during and after a natural disaster.
In addition to helping with survival after the first 24 to 36 hours after a natural disaster until specialized help arrives, Mexican Red Cross Paramedic, Francisco Aguilera Narciso, trained in disaster management, gave an interesting talk.
Aguilera Narciso, has 20 years experience in the area of medical emergencies and is Founder/President of "Prolife-911", dedicated to several innovative teams related to preserving life in the case of disaster and survival products. Woman in Colonia Montecarlo Commits Suicide; Rollover Accident (El Mexicano, 12/24/12)
Playa de Rosarita, BC - Sunday morning a possible case of suicide in the colonia Montecarlo was identified. A woman, 44, was hung from a tree outside her home, since before 9 a.m. It was around that time, Municipal police personnel received a report on the case and the first units arrived to take action. At the moment, Ministerial agents are determining initial information obtained on the investigation.
According to the head of the Municipal Public Security Directorate, Francisco Castro Trenti, the holiday season presents a tendency for increased cases of suicide attempts, mostly in groups of young and middle-aged adults, this being the second case since last previous Friday night.
In another incident on Sunday, shortly after 5 p.m., a rollover occurred at the intersection of Carretera Libre and Escénica with Boulevard Benito Juárez, on the North to South in side of Centro Comercial Rosarito, causing damage to three vehicles.
The accident took place when a Toyota Tundra pickup crossed into traffic from the direction of Rosarito, arriving on the descent of the Pemex bridge, colliding with another vehicle, causing a rollover on the slope, hitting a third car.
