Officials Promote "Rosarito Make It Yours" (El Mexicano, 12/13/12)

Playas de ROSARITO, BC - With the purpose of improving economic development in the municipality of Playas de Rosarito, municipal officials joined the "Rosarito Hazlo Tuyo (Rosarito, make it yours)" campaign, which promotes the business Coordinating Council (CCE) of this city.

During a tour of City Hall, headed by Mayor Javier Robles Aguirre, project leader Laura Torres Ramírez, invited government employees to take advantage of their bonuses by using coupons at more than three hundred businesses participating the campaign.

Accompanied by young volunteers, they visited each public office to explain "Rosarito Hazlo Tuyo", which seeks to promote local consumption by promoting products and services in nearly 300 participating businesses.

She explained the campaign started November 1 and will end December 31. It is the first of three phases, which in 2013 will include promotions throughout the State, inviting visitors to Rosarito and all of Baja California, as well as promoting civic values. Torres Ramírez stressed that this project is supported by the State Government through the Ministry of Economic Development, directed by Dr. Alejandro Mungaray Lagarda, who is convinced that this is a very productive program for the city.

"We have to believe in ourselves and find meeting points where Government, employers and families see benefits for each of us, and therefore continue promoting this type of campaign next year," he said. Finally, the project leader said the end of this year is closing strong in regards to house to house visits where through flyers, they are urging Rosarita families to buy their Christmas gifts at local businesses. http://www.el-mexicano.com.mx/informacion/noticias/1/3/estatal/2012/12/13/636096/se-suman-funcionarios-a-campana-rosarito-hazlo-tuyo.aspx
