The ceremony of farewell was organized in their honor by University authorities. Yesterday in the University gym, located on the Mexicali campus, the rector of the Máxima Casa de Estudios, Philip Cuamea Velásquez accompanied by the Vice-Rector, Miguel Ángel Martínez Romero and 15 directors of schools and colleges presented a pin and a scroll with a message of good wishes. After a one-hour ceremony, which began at 10 p.m., they closed the ceremony with traditional songs by the mariachis "Travelers" from the school of Arts at UABC. A graduate from the School of Medicine, Citlali Bareño, said he was happy to see graduation because he has been working for five years to finish the race. He mentioned that even with one year of internship ahead, in La Paz, BC, he however feels satisfied for having attained his greatest achievement. Another graduate Adriana Beltran said that his father feels very good for him having completed the first stage of the race. Above all, in this type of ceremony, they are with people who accompanied them in high school and now they fulfilled this dream of college. He said that after a year of boarding school, he would work at the General Hospital of Mexicali as a specialist in internal medicine. Cuamea Velásquez ordered the students to have a life based on work, with great honesty and attachment to ethics and mainly to honor the values of the University, as well as the work of their families that led them to the University. He is stressed and honored. This is the same for the talented graduates who are part of the solution for problems of this country; not to be indifferent; who are good people. That is the basis for success.

Martinez, 5/19/11) - More than 100 people were around of the facilities of the Secretaria de Seguridad Pública, where the funeral procession of the agent Israel Menchaca will begin. The body of the agent of the State preventive police (PEP) was in Cathedral on hold to "luctuosa" (mourning) ceremony and later they moved it to the Panteón Jardines del Desierto. The caravan of cars will depart shortly before 1 p.m. today from the facilities of SSPE. Israel Menchaca was found dead in his home with a gunshot wound to the head. Authorities presumed at the time it was a suicide. He had been fired as an escort for the Governor.

It was inaugurated just the day before at Rome’s Termini Station by the City Mayor. According to the evening edition of the newspaper, the figure has “scant resemblance”, a comment more subtle than the opinion of many Romans who, through social networks in the last few hours have portrayed the creation as “a mess”. On Wednesday, Mayor Gianni Alemanno and Vicar Bishop of Rome Agostino Vallini unveiled the work by sculptor Oliviero Rainaldi. It was donated to the city by the Silvana Paolini Angelucci Foundation. The image, which was of no cost to the government, is located in the Plaza of the Cinquecento a few meters from the entrance to Termini Station. It's a five-meter cylinder of iron with the head of the Pope on a single piece of steel in the form of a tunic concluding with the reproduction of a fold of cloth on the right side and an empty space in the center.
