I headed to the Co-op aboard my new electric scooter. I took a chance buying through e-bay, but I did save a couple of hundred dollars. It's faster than the mobility scooter and I customized the seat because it hurt my back. If I had paid full retail I don't know if I would have done that because it would hurt the re-sale value.
It's basically a skateboard with an electric motor and a seat.
I get to the Co-op and park in the breezeway. I spend a moment talking to the security guard; tall armed man are a weakness of mine. We discuss the virtues of the new scooter versus the mobility scooter.
The new electric scooter goes twice as fast, but has half the range of the mobility scooter.
I quip ,"I have a fleet now, soon I'll be renting these out to my disabled neighbors. "
I dark wall of a man in a red t-shirt was in line in front of me. I read his t-shirt, it said, "I love my haters. "

I make my purchase, I'm baking edibles, so I was able to stay in my budget.
The ride home was uneventful except I was accutely aware of my vulnerability, even though I was on the sidewalk. I passed a Law Officer and I was thinking, I hope I don't get hasseled for being on the sidewalk. Then I thought, well, screw it, I can get a Doctor's note.
And I kept on ridin.
