They say there are two things in life which are inevitable, death, and taxes.
On Friday March 11, 2011, through the power of cable television and the Internet, I watched as an earthquake shook Tokyo, Japan. Then I watched a tsunami devastate the coastal town of Sendai, and if that was not enough, the nuclear power plants went critical and the disaster is ongoing.
I watched thousands of lives vanish in seconds.
I watched, as hours later the tsunami which took life half way across the planet, reached our shores, took life again, and destroyed property to the north.
Six month ago I survived becoming prey to the fate of roadkill.
That is how I learned to love the I.R.S. I am alive, to file a tax return.
