Car Crash That's a Nail Biter

This story happened in Salt Lake City, home for all your salt needs (and all your multipe wives).

Lee Redmond is a 68-year-old lady who was in a car crash. Now, it would be fun to speculate as to how she got into the car crash. Was she putting make-up on? Was she on a cell phone? Who knows, the story doesn't say.

But what I do know is what happened to her after the accident. And here is where the fun lies. You guys get to guess.

The woman lost something in the crash. Do you think it was:

-A) Breast implants -B) A contact lense -C) One of her husbands -D) Her cell phone -E) Her finger nails

If you guessed "finger nails" you are right. And I have no clue why you guessed that.

I mean, my mom lost two finger nails once in a car accident. That was because she did that move where she tried to hold me back in the seat as she slammed on her brakes. And the nails were driven into my rib cage. I'm guessing that caused as much damage as if I had flown thru the windshield (maybe MythBusters could test out the theory that a moms hand/arm can hold the passenger in a seat without them hitting the windshield).

Anyway, Lee was in the Guinness Book of World Records at one time for having the longest fingernails. She said this was the most dramatic event of her life.

And I wondered...did having these long nails cause the accident? I mean, try to hold a steering wheel with those long, creepy curly things all over the place. It probably looked like an Octopuss having sex with Frisbee.

And can you imagine the ambulance pulling up and seeing those things all around the floor. There'd be a split second where they wouldn't know what body part it was.

There is a positive to all this.

She said that it's now much easier to do things and that her hands seem to fly, with the weight of the nails gone.

Nah, really????

I'm also guessing she saves hours each week, on the time she spent polishing those things.

Here's something you might be interested in.
