Weird Police, Weird DUI

Anyone hear that 911 call last week? The one where an older woman was reporting a drunk driver and the 911 operator asks if she’s following them. She replies, “I am them.” The operator has the great response of “You am them?” I felt like someone should’ve said “I eight the sandbox.”

The best part is the 911 operator recommend she pull over. And she did. The police showed up and promptly arrested her.

I was telling a friend how stupid this woman was, and they said “Well, she was doing the right thing. She didn’t want to drive drunk and knew that was wrong.”

I tried to explain that she never had to get into the car and start it up. She could’ve, on her own, pulled over after realizing she was in no condition to drive. Although, I always found it odd that if a police officer happened upon a car on the side of the road or in a parking lot, and the person in it was drunk, they would be cited.

A guy in Oakland was just about as dumb as the woman that called 911. He had to be in court on charges of stealing a car. Anyone want to guess what he was driving to court?

Yep, he stole a car with a LoJack, and was on his way to court when he was arrested on the new car theft charge.

Now, I’ve always been a bit confused on the speedy trial laws, but it seems they should’ve just taken him right to court and present the judge/jury with this latest incident. It would’ve probably saved a lot of time and paper work.

A guy that was actually a lot smarter than the cops, was a dude in Pennsylvania. He said he was getting a massage and a woman offered to have sex with him. He told the police he was so offended, that if they wanted to do a sting operation, he’d gladly go back.

What a trooper he is.

So, the police gave him money for a massage and more. And, well…he got more. And he convinced the police that, well…maybe he should go back again. He went back an additional four times, having sex with two different women.

The police also gave the guy an additional $180 “for his trouble.”

No trouble at all, Officer Kupke!

There was some trouble for the judge hearing the case. He threw the entire thing out of court, after hearing recordings that showed the officers and the man laughing about the situation. He said it was odd that this man was so offended, that he returned there multiple times.

I just wish this judge was involved in the case where the family that had a relative appear on Dateline, and then kill himself because he was embarrassed that he was shown soliciting an underage girl.

Rumors are that family was paid millions and millions.

Insane.
