I just can’t get enough of the idiotic criminals.
As I watching all the great football games today, I was reading some interesting stories in the Union-Tribune.
There was a story out of Colorado, that involved a woman being caught trying to use a man’s ski pass. And what was her excuse?
No, not that it was her husbands and she must’ve grabbed the wrong one before leaving the cabin. She went in a bizarre direction. She claimed to be in the middle of a sex change.
The season passes have the holders’ names and photos on them, and this lady made the mistake of telling the sheriff’s deputy her parents knew of her sex change and disowned her when she told them.
Now, how do you think the sheriff got to the bottom of this?
A strip search? Well, good guess…but I think enough people have gotten into trouble conducting those for anyone to be stupid enough to still get do one. The deputy called the father, who was “shocked” to hear the news. Eventually, they got around to calling the person whose name is on the pass, and he admitted that he gave it to his girlfriend.
The woman is now being booked on charges of theft of more than $500 and criminal impersonation (no word on if Cher’s kid will ever be charged with this. Yikes, have you seen her lately?)
On a quick side note regarding people that had sex-changes, I was sad to see the sports writer for the LA Times, who had a sex change and became a woman, recently committed suicide. She was in her mid-50s, and had continued her job with the Times even after the surgery.
But back to dumb criminals. They’re so much more fun to talk about.
In Arizona, two guys broke into a cell tower site to parachute off the 400-foot antennae. One made it. The other died after getting tangled in 12,000-volt power lines. I bet he lit up like a Christmas tree.
On a sad note, regarding a parachute death, a Camp Pendleton Marine died Thursday night during a training exercise. It was a low-level static-line training jump.
Cpl. Ryan Pape was only 23, and had received many service awards, including an Iraq Campaign Medal, War on Terrorism service Medal, and Combat Action Ribbon.
It’s got to be really tough on his parents, as his brother died four years earlier, in a motorcycle accident in National City. He was also in the Corp.
Very sad news any time a soldier dies, even when it’s not fighting on foreign soil. It’s people like these two brothers that go to war and fight – whether you agree with the reasons why or not – and let us enjoy the liberties and freedoms we take for granted.
