I heard Miley Cyrus had another stalker. I think she's up to three at this point.
And as scary as that is, I really don't care. Because her parents have done so much wrong with how they've guided her career.
She went from being on a kids show, to doing a nude photo shoot as a 15-year-old (sure, it was with the famous Annie Lebowitz, but she's a minor, not a sex symbol). And the parents shouldn't be rushing her to be one.
Recently, on some awards show, she did a sexually suggestive pole dance while she sang. Again, bad decisions.
And don't even get me started with her ex-boyfriend, who was 20 when she was 15.
Now, think about a 15-year-old. Either your kid, or when you were that age, and how bizarre that would be to have parents letting someone date a man. An adult, dating a minor. Sure, five years doesn't matter when he's 35 and you're 30, but at those ages, it sure does. Not to mention it's illegal.
So, if the parents are going to love making millions and exploiting their kid, well...have fun with all the pervs that also follow her around.
I don't know all the details on this -- but a 13-year-old girl was changing clothes at George Clooney's place in Italy. Some sleazy photographer jumped a fence and supposedly took photos of her that got published. And this time, Clooney is going all the way with a lawsuit. I'm guessing he'll win big.
I'm hoping the family of a Missouri girl wins big, too.
This is the state that passed the cyber-bullying law after a 13-year-old girl killed herself over a fake person some adult neighbors created to torment her.
You think Ms. Thrasher (nice name, huh?) would've known better. Although, even without a law like that, you'd like to think adults know better.
She got into an online fight with a 17-year-old girl on Myspace (on a side note: Adam Sandler says it best in Funny People, how losers on the computer brag about all the friends they have on Myspace and Facebook, and when you ask them what they're doing Friday night, they tell you they'll be home on the computer)
The 17-year-old is the daughter of a woman that her ex-husband is now dating.
The woman posted pictures of the girl, with her email address and cell phone number. This was all in the "casual encounters" section, which is where adults go to meet up and have sex, with no strings attached (so I've heard).
She's now looking at a 4-year prison term, and I hope she gets it. In the meantime, she isn't allowed to have a computer in her home, which I think is a great start.
