Lots of Copies, Lots of Flavors

After a lunch at Pizza Nova in Point Loma, my girlfriend and I drove past a motorcycle accident. It had just happened and was bizarre to see. The couple was just laying in the street, with the motorcycle next to them.

A cop had just shown up and was directing traffic around them. I whipped out my camera and my girlfriend said "If you take a picture, I'm going to leave you right here."

I pleaded with her, saying that I'm a reporter.

She continued driving, as we saw an ambulance pass us a few minutes later.

We went to Kinko's because I needed to make a copy of something.

As we walk in there was a woman making copies that stared at us. We searched for a color copier, and realize she's on the only one in the place.

We don't want to pressure her, so we stand back and looking at some greeting cards. She asked, "Are you waiting for this machine?" We responded, "Yeah, but take your time."

She had a photo album on it and was telling us how it was going to be a while, so she let us go.

As she was taking her stuff out, we let her know that we only had one item.

When I found out she was making copies for someones retirement party, I gave her my card and told her I would crash it.

As we left, I was thrilled that someone was so nice. It's really the way society should work; people gauging a situation, and being nice and letting you go in front of them.

We went to Baskin @ Robbins for ice cream, and I thought about one of the previous threads on here. That's because I found a chocolate ice cream, with cookie dough. Although, it also had M&Ms and fudge swirls.

There was a family of red-heads in front of us. The little girl was so cute with her pink Mets cap on, and strawberry shortcake outfit. But, this family wasn't like the woman at Kinko's.

You see, Baskin Robbins is known for their 31 flavors. Yet, I couldn't see half the flavors because they were in front of them. And, I wasn't sure of the etiquette. Half of them had already gotten their cones. The other half was still ordering. But the second employee was already asking us what we wanted. And sure, I knew my first scoop. But I wanted to see what else was down there. I walked over and tried looking over their heads. I would think that's enough of a cue for the mother to say, "Okay kids, let's back up a little bit." Or, "If you already got your cone, go sit down." She didn't.

But I spotted chocolate fudge and I just went with that.

As we sat eating our ice cream, I turned into my grandmother.

I complained to my girlfriend that there was only one bit of cookie dough in the scoop of ice cream I got.

I also didn't care for the fudge swirl.

So, I guess I'll have to hunt down this Breyer's chocolate cookie dough that magic told me about.
