On a few of the channels today, they stopped talking about that singer from Scotland with the eyebrows.
And instead, they talked about a woman in Colorado that was being chased by a bear.
When I hear about an animal chasing a person, I always look up at the TV, no matter what I'm doing. It's like the live car chases.
The woman ended up running out onto the road, where an old lady hit her with her car. The lady apologized for speeding and said she tried to slow down, before taking off again (police are looking for her, although it doesn't sound like she did anything wrong).
The bear must've been freaked by it all, because it didn't continue chasing. I imagine it was standing back in the woods saying "Ouch! That's gotta hurt. Worse than if you would've let me take a few nibbles on ya."
The woman was bruised up, but is otherwise fine. Which is amazing, considering she was pregnant at the time.
She wasn't happy to find out authorities tracked the bear down and killed it. They said it was comfortable with humans, and that's not good.
She has decided to name her baby "Bear" in honor of the slain beast.
I'm wondering two things.
Why not "Buick"?
And, how did Bear Bryant ever get saddled with that name?
