I logged onto the computer this morning, and they have these news stories pop up. One said that Heather Mills, the 5-year-exwife of Sir Paul McCartney, tried to sell a video of Paul that showed how abusive he was. The person went to buy the video, only to find that it showed them in happy times. This person is now mad.
This is going to pain me to do, but I have to come in defense of this woman. Here's why.
I had met her at a charity function in Beverly Hills. She hadn't yet snagged her Beatle. And, she was mean. This is a fundraiser for her landmine charity, and she's snotty.
I had seen her on interviews, and she was mean. Sure...she's sick of always getting questions about The Beatles. But hey...you are dating one. Then you're married to one.
His kids didn't like her from the beginning. Although, you have to wonder, if they were just worried about their inheritance. Or, just worried about him losing half of everything he owned. Fortunately for all of them, he only lost $44 million to her.
But, I'm going to say the same thing I say about Yoko Ono, when people try to blame her for "breaking up the Beatles."
First, John Lennon chose to be with her. Even if she said, "You should leave that band, and go solo," that would be his final decision. And, she never said that. She just started showing up at the studio, when the rule was always -- nobody in the studio, unless you're working. No friends, no girlfriends or wives, etc.
Lennon seemed very happy with Yoko. Just as Paul did with Linda. If the women have an influence on them, so what. At the end of the day, it's those guys that are making the decisions.
And, if you watch any of the videos of them recording their final album, you can see that the band is upset with Paul and his ways of dictating everything in the studio.
So, any time somebody wants to knock Heather Mills for being pyscho, please ask yourself -- why did Paul marry her?
