B for Barack

So, I hear this story about a woman in Pittsburgh being attacked because she has a McCain bumper sticker.

My first thought is how I've told countless people (both Democrats and Republicans), that they're idiots to have bumper stickers on their cars. It does nothing to swing votes, but it does give someone the opportunity to key your car if they're so inclined. Why let bozos know which way you lean?

A friend of mine has a neighbor with a YES ON 8 sign in her front lawn. I told her how insane that was, and she said "Well...a few others on this street have had their signs stolen." I replied, "They're lucky it wasn't something worse that happened to their house."

Now, back to this woman. I think it's completely bogus. And, couldn't have come on a better day...the same day I hear about the woman that accused the Duke players of raping her. She has some book deal she's announcing. Remember, she lied as well. And, it also involved an ATM (in that case, the ATM receipt cleared the boys she was accusing).

The woman said that a black guy, 6'4" wearing all black, stole $60 she withdrew from an ATM. He saw her McCain bumper sticker and punched her, kicked her, and with a knife, carved a "B" into her cheek.

Well, I Googled so I could see the photo. And the first thing that jumps out at me is that the letter "B" is backwards. Now, most criminals might wear their Raiders caps backwards. But, I think they can write capital letters the proper way.

And, nobody writes letters backwards. Well...okay, the Toys R Us people, and musician Sheila E. For some reason, she likes to write people letters and sign autographs, by writing backwards.

And, why would you stand there while someone is carving your cheek like it's Thanksgiving turkey? You scream, you fight, you flail about. I'm not saying a 6'4" dude couldn't do this...but the "B" would look a lot sloppier.

Some people might say this woman suffers from Munchausen Syndrome. But, I doubt that's the case. People that suffer that will fake diseases or trauma to themselves, in order to draw attention or sympathy.

In this case, the woman refused medical care. So that rules that out.

What I think she did, was wanted to draw attention to McCain. He's losing in the polls, and no better way than to show how big, bad, and brutal the "Barack people" are, then faking an attack by one.

The Obama camp released a statement saying their thoughts and prayers are with her, and all the cliches you'd expect. Of course they can't say (if they feel like me), that it's fake. Nothing is gained by speculating that.

I bet McCain has already been by to visit her, too.

And, if any of you disagree with me that she did this to herself...and your logic is "Why would a person injure themselves?"

Let me throw this at you. A few years back, there was some college professor, who fought for the rights of minorities. She's a middle-aged Caucasian. She said a racist vandalized her car. Then a student came out and said he saw her doing it to her own vehicle.

So, as crazy as it sounds, people will damage their property or themselves, for a point. I mean, there have been people that douse themselves in gasoline and light a match.

I'm just hoping when the police do prove that she's lying (if that's the case), they charge her. Not just some small charge of "filing a false police report." But, they should trump up some charges. This is messing with election results, potentially.

And, while we're at it...grab this woman with the book deal. And charge her with some things. Maybe Jesse Jackson and his crew can come down and protest the fact that she's being able to profit by ruining college athletes lives. They can protest outside the publishing company that's paying her.

Oh wait...they're the same color. I guess it doesn't work that way.
