Hating Defense Attorneys

I've never had a problem with defense attorneys. I believe that everyone deserves a fair trial, and if they can afford a great legal team, so be it.

The problem I have is with defense attorneys saying stupid things in the media. I have a problem with idiotic jurors. And judges that sometimes let the defense attorneys get away with murder (pun intended).

When I read two books about the OJ case, one of the attorneys said Judge Ito let a lot of stuff go that he shouldn't have.

But, I don't want to re-hash that case. I just wanted to mention that his "dream team" of the late Johnnie Cochran (my his soul rest in...upheaval), Alan Dershowitz (who was stupid enough to do a lot of interviews after the case, and switch from saying he didn't think OJ did it, to going back on that, depending on who interviewed him and what suited him best), Kardashian (who isn't alive, to see how "successful" his idiotic daughters have been)....they did what a lot of defense attorneys feel their job is. And that's to get their client off, at any cost.

I've said before, that I liked the approach Nick Nolte took in "Cape Fear". He was defending DeNiro, and he didn't bring some stuff up that would've helped him, because he felt DeNiro deserved to do jail time for sex with an underage girl.

Obviously, a defense attorney shouldn't bury something that can help their client. But, what a defense attorney should do, is act professional.

The latest Simpson verdict was announced, and what does his legal team do? They come out and say that this is a jury that had a vendetta, and blah blah blah.

I don't know why they can't say to themselves "Well...OJ did this to himself. He got away with murdering two people the first time (allegedly, I'll write, for legal reasons). And, instead of staying out of trouble, he once punched a guy at a stop sign. A few times he had cops show up at his house in Florida for various things. And now...he goes with a bunch of thugs into a hotel room in a casino, where cameras are everywhere. It's his own fault."

Sure, they don't have to say that. It might hurt their careers. But surely, they don't need to bring up the race card. Or previous cases.

It's OJ's fault that EVERYONE knew about his previous court cases.

For them to continue on, commenting in the media, is insane. How hard is it for them to say "no comment" and move on to other things in their lives?
