Quarterbacks in the NFL -- one helps homeless, one has dog fights

I hate the Dallas Cowboys. I hate their owner. I hate Owens. I do like their cheerleaders.

And I like Tony Romo. Aside from his style of play, in interviews, he just always seems to handle himself really well. When he plays bad, he doesn't make excuses (Owens could learn something from him). When he plays well, he doesn't act all goofy like Favre. He's just calm, cool, collected.

There was a story in the beginning of the season, about Romo seeing a couple with a flat tire. He pulled over and changed their tire for them. The guy said, "Didn't you just finish your game? Well, don't tell me what happened, I recorded it."

The other day, a homeless guy in the Dallas area was in the parking lot of a movie theatre. Romo invited him in to watch Role Models with him. The guy said he told Romo he smelled bad, since he hadn't showered in 5 days. Romo laughed, saying he was used to the locker room smells.

This guy says it now gives him faith in mankind.

One quarterback that can learn something from him, is Michael Vick. He's the guy that ran the dog fighting ring.

He's getting out of prison soon, and talk is about whether or not the NFL will re-instate him. It's going to end up messy. How can it not?

Larry Johnson, who spit on a woman recently, has played the last two games. And he's had so many run-ins with the law.

The NFL should suspended him for two years. They really can't ban him for life. They'd be sued, and probably lose. Heck, Ray Lewis was involved in murdering someone (had blood on his shirt, lied to police), and he has an NFL career still going.

After two more years, Vick will be old enough, that nobody will care.

But I'm sure the NFL won't do that. And some team that is having QB problems will try him out. PETA and everyone else will protest. It will become a PR nightmare, and the team won't sign him.

I'm sure the NFL doesn't see this, though. So expect to be hearing a lot more about Michael Vick.

And just imagine the signs you'll see in Cleveland, where their fans call certain sections "The Dog Pound."

Now what can they do with Encinitas unstable cliffs?

Make the cliffs fall, put up more warnings, fine beachgoers?
