I heard the story about Jetblue making someone stay in the bathroom during a flight. The guy is suing. I'm not sure I buy the entire story.
Apparently, this guy got a free flight from a friend or family member that work for the airline.
They needed his seat, when a stewartess (I know that term isn't PC anymore, but I can't think of what they're called right now)...she complained about her seat.
I'm willing to bet this guy agreed to do this, and then saw the dollar signs. If the pilot even suggested this. I doubt a pilot, knowing about turbulence and all the ways someone could get hurt, would risk his career telling someone to sit in the john for a few hours.
The other story, I know the guy suing is an idiot.
He was on Southwest Airlines and was told repeatedly, to get off his cell phone.
Police were called, and met the guy when he landed in Dallas. He claims his dad had some emergency in the hospital.
Well, I'm not buying it.
First of all, how was his cell phone even on to get this info? When you are ready to land, they tell you to turn phones off.
If he was already on the phone and had this troubling news, I'm sure if he was polite and talked to the right people, they would've let it slide.
But even if they didn't, who cares. His father is in the hospital. There's probably little he can do from the "friendly" skies.
