Hillary Clinton -- A Bad Sport

Hillary Clinton using sports analogies.

I remember years and years ago, when Hillary was campaigning in New York. She put on a Yankees cap, and I believe she said the Yankees were her favorite team. Someone pointed out her mentioning the Cubs being her favorite team previously. She said, "Well, those two teams are both my favorites."

Ah...you gotta love politicians. I mean, would she really have lost the election in New York if she said, "Hey, I'll root for the Yankees if the Cubs get eliminated. They're my second favorite team." I think most sports fans can appreciate you having a team, even if it isn't the same as theirs (and I suppose for Yankees fans, if it's not the Red Sox).

The two latest things involving Hillary and sports had me thinking.

First, she was in Philadelphia and kept talking about how she was like Rocky. I think she pumped her fists in the air, and did that theme song with her mouth.

Why couldn't just one reporter have said, "Uh...Hillary? I hate to break this to you, but in Rocky, he got the crap beat out of him by a black guy. And, he lost the fight."

Sure, we know Rock won the girl. And he won the hearts of the crowd. But he lost the big fight (to former SDSU alum Carl Weathers, who still lives in town). Will Hillary and Bill still be together if she loses the big one?

Her next sports blopper, was talking about Eight Belles, the only filly running in the Kentucky Derby. She was comparing herself to that horse.

Not sure if she saw the outcome. But, that horse came in second.

And was put down shortly after the race.
