I was being interviewed on the radio this morning, and had a huge argument with the talk show host about cops giving a woman a hard time because she left her baby in the car while she went to put money into a Salvation Army bucket. I contend, you don't ever leave your child in the car. Even if you're walking a short distance. You never know if the kid will grab a parking brake, if your car will be stolen...anything could happen.
But, the one news story we agreed on, was a kid in New Haven that got suspended for selling a bag of Skittles for a buck.
He was class vice president, and he said he didn't know the rules, that stated candy sales are banned at the school.
A 3-day suspension for an honor student, is a little much. I can picture them tackling Girl Scouts, and taking their thin mints.
All this talk of Skittles at school, made me think of a story last week about cocaine. Some sellers and dealers are making flavored blow; strawberry and coconut are two I remember they had.
This freaked out authorities, because they feel this will make cocaine more appealing to kids.
All I know is...if that type of cocaine takes off...I'm going to buy stock in Pixy Stix. I mean, think about it. It's already deliciously flavored. And it comes with its own straw!!!
