I heard over the weekend, that in Yellowstone National Park, a 12-year-old boy was injured after a bison he was posing near for a photo, flipped him into the air.
The Pennsylvania boy was only a few feet from the bull, and park rules require visitors to stay at least 25 yards from bison. I'm wondering if the dad was quick enough with the camera to have at least gotten one "action" shot with his son flying thru the air like Charlie Brown when he tries to kick that football and goes twirling.
This is a case where I think the parents should be charged. And, they probably won't be. Not only that...they'll probably sue. And, there will probably be a settlement.
Another news story over the weekend, involving a kid that was somewhere he shouldn't have been -- at a Six Flags in Georgia, a boy with a church group jumped a few fences, to get to a section of the Batman ride that is closed off to the crowd.
Some say it was because he wanted to retrieve a hat he lost earlier in the ride. Others say, it was because he wanted to grab the foot of a friend that was riding.
Either way...the boy ended up decapitated.
And again...I'm guessing there will be a lawsuit. Even though this was a fenced off area, this is how our society is.
I feel bad for this boys family. But, the second I hear they file a lawsuit, I'm going to stop feeling bad for them.
